Song 2 – Doe, a deer, a female deer

Song :  Doe, a deer, a female deer

Film :

Director :

Lyrics :

English :

Song : Doe, a deer, a female deer
Prelude :
(Maria)
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti
(spoken)
Let’s see if I can make it easy
Chorus
Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread

La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)

(Everyone sings the Chorus twice)

(Maria)
Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do
So-do!

(spoken by Maria)
Now children, do-re-mi-fa-so and so on
are only the tools we use to build a song.
Once you have these notes in your heads,
you can sing a million different tunes by mixing them up.
Like this.

So Do La Fa Mi Do Re

(spoken)
Can you do that?

(Children sing)
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re

(Maria sings)
So Do La Ti Do Re Do

(Children sing)
So Do La Ti Do Re Do

(spoken by Maria)
Now, put it all together.

(Everyone sings)
So Do La Fa Mi Do Re, So Do La Ti Do Re Do

(spoken by Maria)
Good!

(spoken by Brigitta)
But it doesn’t mean anything.

(spoken by Maria)
So we put in words. One word for every note. Like this.

When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything
[spoken]
Together!

(Everyone sings)
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything

Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long, long way to run
Sew, a needle pulling thread
La, a note to follow Sew
Tea, a drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
Do Ti La So Fa Mi Re

(Children sing)
Do Mi Mi
Mi So So
Re Fa Fa
La Ti Ti
(Maria sings the chorus while the children sing the verse above 4 times)

(Maria sings)
When you know the notes to sing
You can sing most anything

(Everyone sings)
Doe, a deer, a female deer

Which Harmonica to BUY?

This is the most common question asked.
You will need a 12 Hole, 3 Octave, chromatic ( with Slider) harmonica. SCALE C. as a Standard harmonica to play most of the songs in Hindi.

Will a Diatonic Harmonica do?

Not all songs can be played correctly with Diatonic ( non chromatic or Non slider ones)

Is 16 Hole Harmonica Better than 12 Hole?
ANS:  12 hole will do your job for most of it. 16 hole is not required. and as a beginner, 12 hole is easy to handle and identify holes.

I have 24 hole Harmonica – Tower Model, can i use it to learn songs?
ANS: yes you can, however, Mostly this is a Chinese Toy model harmonica. you can of course play the songs, However for the beginners, we suggest any brand 12 Hole, 3 octave, chromatic Harmonica of Scale C.

Which are the Most popular good brands You suggest for Buying 12 Hole Harmonica?

ANS: Go for the Best ones from Germany or Japan.
Hohner – German Made – approx 10-13K cost
Suzuki – Japanese Made – SCX-48 – 12-14K Cost
Seydel – German Made – 12-14K Cost
